Advanced Additives AA Sealcoat is a water-based, polymer-modified asphalt sealcoat designed to protect and preserve existing asphalt pavements.
Applied as a thin, cold-applied surface treatment, AA Sealcoat forms a durable black protective layer over the pavement surface, helping seal surface voids, reduce moisture ingress and protect the asphalt against ongoing environmental exposure and surface wear.
Its high-solids formulation combines bituminous binder, polymer and carefully selected mineral fillers to provide a uniform, durable finish while restoring the rich black appearance of aged asphalt. The current formulation has an estimated non-volatile solids content of approximately 74–76% by mass.

Asphalt sealcoat is a surface treatment applied over an existing asphalt pavement to provide an additional protective layer and support preventative pavement maintenance. AA Sealcoat is a cold-applied, water-based bitumen, polymer and mineral formulation developed for professional pavement applications.

AA Sealcoat is intended for asphalt pavements and similar bituminous surfaces. Potential applications include roads, car parks, access roads, hardstands, driveways, paths and other serviceable asphalt surfaces.

AA Sealcoat can be professionally applied using controlled spray, squeegee or approved spreading equipment. The pavement should be assessed and appropriately prepared before treatment.

AA Sealcoat is currently being developed for application within approximately 0.3–1.0 L/m², depending on pavement condition, texture, porosity and project requirements. The application rate and number of coats should be selected for the individual project.

At an application rate of 0.5 L/m², a 950 L IBC provides approximately 1,900 m² of theoretical coverage. Actual coverage varies with pavement texture, equipment, application method and wastage.

As asphalt ages, exposure to sunlight, oxygen, water and traffic progressively changes the condition of the surface. The pavement can become dry and weathered, surface voids become more apparent and aggregate loss can begin.
AA Sealcoat places a new polymer-modified bituminous and mineral-rich layer over the existing asphalt surface.
